Privacy Policy
In short: SEshot works entirely on your iPhone or iPad. It has no servers, no user accounts, no advertising and no analytics. We (the developer) never receive, store or see your photos, videos, files or account information.
When you connect a cloud service such as Google Drive™, SEshot talks to that service directly from your device, only to show and manage your files inside the app.
Who we are
SEshot is developed and published by SEstudio ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the SEshot app for iPhone and iPad ("the app") handles information. It applies to the app and to this website.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not operate any servers for the app, and the app does not send any personal information, usage data, photos, videos, files, credentials or tokens to us or to any third party chosen by us. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
If you email us for support, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and use it only to reply to you.
Information that stays on your device
To work, the app keeps some information on your device only. It is never uploaded to us.
| Information | Why | Where it's kept |
|---|---|---|
| Access to your photo library (with your permission) | To show, organise and edit your photos and videos. Edits are saved back to your library only when you choose to save them. | Apple's Photos library on your device |
| Ratings, colour labels, clip marks, bookmarks and app settings | To remember how you organised your media. | The app's private storage on your device |
| Sign-in tokens for connected services, and NAS addresses and passwords | To stay signed in to the services you connect. | The iOS Keychain on your device |
| Temporary copies and thumbnails of cloud files | To display, play, edit and share files you open. | The app's cache and temporary folders on your device; you can clear them in the app, and iOS may remove them at any time |
Deleting the app removes this information from your device (Keychain items may remain until iOS removes them). If you use iCloud backups, some of it may be included in your device backup under Apple's terms.
Google user data
If you choose to connect Google Drive, the app asks for your permission through Google's sign-in to access your Google Drive files (the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive scope). It also reads the email address of the connected Drive account, only to show which account is signed in.
How the app uses Google user data
- Browse your Drive folders and shared drives, and show thumbnails and details of photos and videos.
- View and stream photos and videos, and download them to your device when you ask (to save to Photos, share, export, edit or grab video frames).
- Change files only when you ask: star or unstar, rename, move to another folder, move to Drive's trash, or upload an edited copy next to the original.
How Google user data is stored and shared
- All access happens directly between your device and Google. Google user data is never sent to, stored on, or processed by servers operated by us or anyone else.
- Your Google sign-in token is kept in the iOS Keychain on your device. Downloaded files are kept in the app's temporary storage on your device.
- We do not share, sell or transfer Google user data to anyone. It is not used for advertising, profiling or credit decisions, and it is not used to develop, improve or train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
- No person, including us, reads your Google user data.
SEshot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
Disconnect Google Drive in the app (Cloud → Google Drive → account menu → Sign Out) to delete the sign-in token from your device. You can also remove SEshot's access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Other connected services
The same rules apply to every service you connect: the app talks to it directly from your device, only to show and manage your files, and nothing passes through us.
- Dropbox: read your files and, when you ask, rename, move, delete or upload. Governed by the Dropbox Privacy Policy.
- Frame.io (Adobe): read your accounts, projects and media through Adobe sign-in. Governed by the Adobe Privacy Policy.
- NAS (WebDAV): connect to a server you specify, with the credentials you enter, which are stored in your device's Keychain.
- Files app locations (iCloud Drive and other providers): only the folders you pick, through Apple's file access system.
Each service's own privacy policy applies to the data it holds.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent or share personal information. Information only leaves your device when you send it somewhere yourself, for example by sharing a photo, saving to Files or uploading an edited copy to a cloud service.
Security
Connections to cloud services use encrypted HTTPS. Sign-in tokens and passwords are stored in the iOS Keychain. For a NAS on your own network, you can choose to trust its self-signed certificate; only do this for servers you control.
Your choices and rights
- Change photo library access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → SEshot.
- Disconnect any cloud service in the app; this deletes its sign-in data from your device.
- Delete the app to remove its data from your device.
Because we don't collect or hold personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side. If you have questions about your rights under the GDPR or other laws, contact us.
Children
SEshot is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
